It's here! Our first Rimfire Sporter Match of the year is Saturday, June 12. Come one, come all. Bring a friend; everybody has a .22 and a couple boxes of ammo.
For those not familiar with the match, we'll shoot prone and sitting/kneeling from 50 yards, both rapid fire and slow fire, then we'll advance to 25 yards and shoot standing, both rapid and slow. 5 shots at a time, so you need a rifle that will hold 5 shots. No special equipment allowed. That is, you can have all the equipment you want such as a spotting scope, wind meter, range finder, etc, but you cannot wear one of those heavy shooting jackets. Street clothes only. Maximum of two sweatshirts at a time. It will be over 80 degrees by the time we finish, so go ahead and wear those sweatshirts if you must, ha ha ha.
We'll be out in the sun for the whole match. The firing line will be downrange, 50 and 25 yards from the targets, so bring your sunscreen and broad brimmed hat.
